My Heart vs. The Stock Market

How in the hell did I
fold this reality
this parallel universe into 
my heart of hearts?
It would make great fiction,
but the heart’s knowledge
is far more wondrous strange
than anything that is 
created in my imagination,
vivid though it is.
The rock bottom truth,
the reality that exists in
the core of my being
penetrating and underlying
my existence on this earth is this:
I have given my heart
freely to all who want
a piece of it.
I have made many new emotional 
investments in what looked to be
a bull market of love.
Maybe what I’m feeling is
nothing more than a 
correction in the
market.
