It’s truly amazing you know how through a simple song, I learn to know you
You are my love, my husband, the one I lie with at night, the destination of my dreams
Yet when I am apart from you I find myself wanting to know more, to know you
So I sit here and I listen closing my eyes picturing you as you would be if you were here
And through a song I see you as you were before me, listening, closing your own eyes, wondering
Did you ever think that one day another would listen to the same song and think of you
So here I am so far from you, but yet I’m here beside you, with your music
For I know what an important part of your life it is to you
You like me, lose yourself to the addictive rhythms
How many nights have we lain awake sharing the methodic beats of a song
Then remembering that, how many have we made love to, all of them, some of them, none of them
I can name each one, I can tell you about the entire evening, oh the memories of a song
