While You Eyed Me

Time's hands race eachother.
Calendar paintings change with ease,
and then here you are
again
before me.

Another 'you' stands before me.
I see you
in your eyes
your pupils wide
greedy for the light
that makes me visible.
But she's at your side.

My eyelashes mesh
and I feel you,
the original

I swim in memory
a smile curls my lips

Anxious breasts
neatly pressed
against your chest.

Then I feel your
curiosity
my eyes open in rare despair

She's draped her arms
over your shoulders.

You moron

she just claimed you

and you let her

while you eyed me.
