WIND-FUL EYE'S

Your eyes gather my attention ... they draw me in, as the wind
gathers up leaves, so my heart is swept away at thy sight.

In an overwhelming swirl, I'm left lost and wandering in an
unnatural world, though I wrestle for my senses ...
I fail in my struggle.

My lips feel numb, my words sound confused, my mind is clouded,
like a misty fog pouring over me ... but, for the sight of your eyes,
I would be blind!

When thy soul is happy your eyes fill the room,
I who was once a free man, am now bound and
held thy captive. Your eyes are as that of a fawn,
gazing through the meadow, I would touch my
fingers to thy brow but as I approach, you move away,
Though I speak to thee with gentle words,
you don't know my voice.

When your eyes weep they are like a sculpture of ice,
melting away, revealing thy soul to me.
Outer images fade away, the facade of life passes,
as what is in, pours out and what was hidden ... I now see.
I let my lips upon your eyes, so thy tears melt into my mouth,
I drink to the full of thy love. Your secrets you thought I
shouldn't know ... are now safely hidden in my heart.
You make yourself vulnerable to me ...
you trust me to be tender ...
...I am!
