I Let You Go

Your image now a vision past,
Lasting Love never meant.
The women here, transient, fast,
I crave your sustaining scent.

Memories of touch, now here, now far,
Linger in each crevasse.
Remnants of you, a waning scar,
My heart a deep morass.

I loved you dear, you held me near,
We watched out hearts unfold.
Then life ensued, nothing to fear,
My prayer for Love untold.

I thirst for you, sweet feminine,
A precious virtue now rare.
I let you go, never here again,
Only regret in my care.

A Love like this, ever pure,
Cleansing all and through.
I reach out, resolve secure,
Remember me and my Love for you.
