From that Moment

From the moment you took my hand we have continued on to unimaginable heights
We met at a time when neither of us were prepared for what love would bring
Yet here we are but a year later so very much a part of one another
I often wonder where I would be had I never met my destiny
But it is at those questioning moments I realize “if” doesn’t apply to you and me
You are the one true love of my life, a part of my very being, my everything
I thank God every night for the gift I received when he sent you to me
I will always love you and I know as the years continue to pass us by
We will look back on our memories of that one special night when you took my hand
And as we ran down that crowded dimly lit Riverwalk you swept my heart into your very soul
