Whatever it is 
that animates my pen
is not always
the product of my heart
For writing is sometimes
only a cognitive act
But when I do feel 
inspired by you,
the flow of words elevate 
my love for you beyond
the fetters of a metaphor
beyond the limitations of
language, into a
communication only our
two hearts can engage in.
