A FOOL FOR LOVE
I am a fool, for this thing called love
I've fell in and out of love and still haven't solved
The meaning of TRUE love, something I crave
For when I find this guy there will be nothing I'll trade
I have love a certain someone but I doubt if he loved me
Our love was a different kind, something that wasn't meant to be
I'll do for him, show love and tender care
But his heart wasn't here, it was else where
I tried to show him my feelings though I'm not that good
Still he took advantage of me, like I knew he would
Promise flew out of his mouth that I held sacred
He left me many of nights, cold and butt naked
I tried to act as if I was carefree
But deep down inside I knew, I believed
There was someone else better than the little I settled for
Someone out there to love and caress me, giving me more
Than any woman can ask for in this life time or the next
Someone to give me there heart not just their sex
Yes, I WAS a fool for this thing called love
Hoping for some type of angel sent from above
I'm still waiting for someone to sweep me up
But it seems I've been waiting so long without a hope of luck
Poem dedicated to: RW (sucker for love)
