Sorry...Thank You!

My sincerest apology
thou, you made me so sad
long, long ago
in that relationship gone bad
Your name and face escapes me,
for the life of me I couldn't tell,
if you were standing before me,
it still wouldn't help
But,
I'm so sorry , now
for the things that I said
...spoofing your baldness
and prowess in bed
I mean,
some women even prefer
a shiny head
and instead of sex,
like TV instead
And comparing your paycheck 
to the BEAV'S allowance
sure wasn't nice
or very tolerant
for this, I hang my head
And while I'm at it,
I didn't REALLY want you DEAD,
just BRUISED a bit
and maybe even bleeding...
Oh well!  This is now and that was then
and by losing you,
I really did win
So,
I am truly ashamed of my behavior
you see
and write this in all
sincerity
Along with this note, 
I'd like to add a THANK YOU, too
for sparing me the horror
of having to tolerate you!
