After Life
- he stares at her everyday from his car as he drives to work. She's probably 15 but she has this feeling to her (a feeling he hasn't felt since he was little) He could never talk to her or tell her that. She'd probably think he was a pedifile. Her black hair falls to her back with every step and moves around in patterns like dancing. She is always laughing, seems to be having more fun than anyone in that town, maybe the world.
- He sticks on his fake eyelashes and puts on his mom's highheals. He never felt like a little boy. He wished he was a girl. Girls were so much more beautiful. He ran in to his sister's room and grabbed some of her pantyhose to stuff as breasts. He was glamorous.
- Every boy envied him. He could bench press more than the rest, his girlfriend was probably the hottest girl in school, and all the other girl's enied her. Everyone thought that he had this perfect life. They didn't know how his father used to beat the shit out of him at night.
- It's his 23rd birthday and he's feeling pretty unlucky. He never made love to a woman, never even so much as kissed one. Ever since his older cousin raped him, he's never been able to talk to girls. He never wants to be like his cousin, taking advantage of someone so he's scared even to touch a girl, thinking they won't want him to be near them.
- He gets out of bed, looking at this perfect specimen of life next to him. The shape of her body as she sleeps and turns. The cute knots that form at the bottom of her curls and she tosses, well asleep. He kisses her almond, cherry lips and gets ready for work.
- The first time he saw her she was at a fruit stand buying kiwi and guava. She was carrying her guitar by it's shoulder strap. She had the smallest feet he'd ever seen. She giggled as she dropped some peaches on the pavement and paid for them. He thought she was so cute and introduced himself after 10 minutes of shyly watching her. Now they are married and have 3 kids, all named after fruit, symbolic of their unusual meeting place. He still loves her like the first time they met.

- He paints all the time. If he stops he might start thinking of his life. It's his remedy.
- Carring a bag of homemade cookies he stubbles at her front door.
- He calls her gorgeous, she calls him dogface and they get along just fine (so he says.)
- He makes her pancakes in the morning and leaves them at her door before work.
