Your Cave
You retreat into your cave, as most men do,
to be alone in your solitude.
Lost in your thoughts, wondering what to do,
what, will be your next move?
How long you will be there, depends solely on you,
I wish I could help in your search for clues.
But to follow you would be a danger to me,
it would only force you to hide in the darkness
whispering, "You can't find me."
For your cave is your one safe place not accessible to anyone,
not even the most familiar face.
When your puzzle is solved, and you're
able to come out, as most men do,
I will be right here waiting for you.
