Discordance

It happens sometimes
when two wake to an entirley different sun
And one thinks the other one is right across from him
at the breakfast table having juice and eggs
like him
-but in fact, she's having toast
like her
And the other one thinks that he is right across from her
enjoying his eggs and keenly aware of her toast
when in fact, they are both oblivious to the other's appetite
Thus, the eggs he keeps heaping onto her plate
leaves her hurting
and him hungry
