Love's Lake

Love's Lake, shining silver in the moonlight;
I feel the serenity of warm hugs in the twilight.
Starry eyes witness love
As you stroke my hair and I hold you tight.
Your peppermint breath
Scented with fragrance of the night
Sends ripples through me;
Tickles my ear.
Your pretty smile,
Your eyes in the lake's mirror,
Blue, clear eyes, mysterious in the waning light.
I linger over your caresses,
As you run your fingers lightly over me,
Causing me to shudder with surface tension.
Your love is gorgeous:
Like the moon scattering her beautiful diamonds
Across the waters of Love's Lake.
Your gentle kisses on my forehead
Wash away the loneliness I have always known,
And I float secure in your embrace
Rocking slowly in love's wake,
Calm and still
The air of the stars answering
Each kiss with winking light
Your warmth conquers the midnight chill
Giving passionate kindling of gentle fire
Causing my face to blush red
With the fever of morning desire
The joy of you loving someone like me
Makes me want to stay forever
By Love's Lake.
And now I abandon my wellbeing into your hands.
