thinking about you

hey babe
been thinking about you
grins and things
your snakeskin eyes
there's a sign at the security gate
on the way out
with S L O W in big letters
and a turtle
i think of you everytime
i want to take a picture for you
but i'd get shot
(no cameras inside the gate -
wouldn't want to jeopardize top secrets)
no turtle's worth that
i try not to think of you
seeing the country
while i'm in a lab
with no windows
trying not to contaminate myself
with mutagenic bacteria
but mostly i can't help it
and when i'm spacing out
with glazed eyes
thinking of us naked
i keep my fingers crossed
in the back of my head
so that i don't spill acid
all over myself
lots of loves and tummy hugs
me
