This Love We Give

 At first I knew not what to say,
I knew not what to do,
then I saw you here, everyday,
I knew it had to be you,
I felt your warmth, I felt your emotion,
I could feel a passion deep inside my heart,
I knew I had to give you love,
I was compelled with a loving devotion,
you told me that you cared,
you welcomed all I had to give,
everyday, our dreams we shared,
we knew we wanted to live,
this life of unreality,
we knew this love, we felt so true,
would one day bring you closer to me,
we knew this love was meant to be,

Now here we stand, hand in hand,
gazing at the stars above,
this simple touch,
we always missed,
we knew would mean so much,
brought our hearts together as one,
then we kissed,
our life has just begun.
