closure isn't always
about stitching the wounds
in your heart so they
will heal cleanly
sometimes it means leaving
a nasty looking scar
the kind that add character
because love is not
neat and ordered
and that kind of scar
is not plastic surgery
of the heart
but makes us
more human if not
more beautiful, but perhaps
it is the same
