I was at that gas station everynight
Not because my car was hungry
But because of the face inside
Soon that face took on a personality
One I grew to love
You had things together when we met
And then things went terribly wrong
But I took you in and helped you out
Giving you everything I had
Showing you my love
Then something terrible happened
you forgot how to be independent
you leaned on me so hard I fell
I picked myself up and brushed myself off
once again showing my love.
Somehow you became angry and bitter
You started to use force and abuse
Forcing me to lie to my loved ones
It happened at work I just fell
Slowly killing the love
When you got arrested I finally
realized that is wasn't about you anymore
It was time to start thinking about me
Goals I had so easily let fall to the back of my mind
Time to love myself
In many ways you've helped me out
I am such a stronger person.
You will always be my friend
As hard as that may be
But we will never be a couple ever ever again.
