calypso singers make me think about the month of june
our feet dug in the sand
holding hands 'neath a waxing moon
the tunes were echoing from some loud bar not far away
your scent of strawberries
made it very
scary
to think that a perfect moment passed my way
i was a lunatic for you that night, you know
i traced your lifeline with my index finger shaking
and my voice was shaking
'cause my whole wide world was shaking
making love with you was on my mind
but i wasn't sure the timing lended reason to my rhyme
i reached into you cup
scooped up a lime and pressed it to your lips
your were smiling
thinking i was quite insane
and as your lips were puckered up and glistening
your eyes were closed in squinting sour recoil
i was listening to your whimpers
as i placed a lavish kiss
a dose of sweetness
to combat my own device
it was so nice to just be there
imagination rampant in the air
calypso music
a wilted dandelion in your hair
half a bottle of cheap wine spilled out on the sand
that night was priceless
as are you
i wonder if you still remember me at all...
