Madness

Please save me from this madness you have inflicted upon me.
The memory still remains long after the touch has gone.
My heart still aches long after the love has gone.
Do you think ignoring me will make your madness go away?
Do you think forgetting me will make your guilt go away?
Out of sight, out of mind.
I'm sure it will ache less in time.
Cover her face, pretend it's me.
Do you remember how it use to be?
Wait, don't feel, it'll hurt too much.
Just go on pretending to love my replacement so much.
She is everything I wasn't or maybe all that I am.
Could you just let me know just exactly where I stand?
It stings and burns inside, when I remember how it use to be.
Every second in my thoughts it's eating me alive.
Could you save me from this madness that is knocking from inside?
