Soliloquy of Faith in Love

One never knows for certain does one? Although we search high and low for that feeling of "love", we never are certain when it appears in front of us are we? Is it our own insecurity? Perhaps our self-esteem forbids us to believe we can be loved so deeply. Is it our lack of faith in the romantic spirit? Perhaps we've seen too many fairy tales with good endings and we think it only happens in the fairy tales. When it comes, i mean when you first feel it, do you deny it or embrace it? Do you trust or suspect? Do you grow, go with the flow or withdraw? Do you speak freely, honestly, from the heart? Or do you make believe, satisfying only yourself? I have had my doubts, and i'll admit, i still am haunted by the beast now and again. But "true love" is real! But here's the catch! Only if you believe in it. That's right! YOU must believe, you must dare to be different, dream your dreams, let your heart speak when your mind debates you. You must trust! Scary thought isn't it? Romance lives within us all only because we hunger for love in it's most soul-bonding form. Yes, it's within us all, but you first must believe. Remove the burdens of past pain, anger and hurt. Remove them and free yourself to believe again. Does this guarantee you anything? Not at all, but it lets your heart live another day to grow. For really, what is there if no love?
