Pictures and little notes

I keep my sweethearts picture
in a book
which I read alot
but have never really read
because
I'm really looking
at her picture
and the little notes she wrote
for me to find
as I read along
about something or other
which I won't remember
I will still see her
in my mind
through the end of the day
When I will read -again-
the expression
of her face
and
the words
around the edges
of her eyes
the sound of her voice
echoing
from the color
of her lips
and her prayers
for me
in the little notes
she wrote
for me to find
