Sad Sonnet No. 1

If you really knew what was in this heart
Before you changed my life you would not let
These passions subside right at this new start
How deeply I hurt now I will not forget
The ache of missing what we created
Might be telling one or both of us this
I had believed that this love was fated
To taste of doom at the end of our bliss
The crossroads I find myself standing at
Like no where I have ever been before
I am resigned to this finality that
Will slice through my heart right down to its core
I always knew of this possibility
That the one leaving love would not be me.
