If ever I have loved you then know this
That love cannot ever change in truth
I love you more now in this wedded bliss
Than I ever dreamt of in my heart of youth
Hearts do change even in their affection
And mine has found a source of new love’s fire
This flame within me needs more attention
This passion burns with new heat of desire
The love that incites this passion never ceased
Though changes in our lives have left their mark
The menu changed at our love’s table’s feast
Yet it’s you who I still hold in the dark
Love is constant but the heart still forgets
The purpose of desire without regrets
