Space/Time

What time and chance
conspired to see this day?
Time and space are inextricably linked
or so Stephen Hawking says.
Full of Quarks and Anti-strangeness
or Jaguars, whose spots change.
Then, theories of arriving
before you've left
if Tachyons exist.
But still, it is amazing,
the events that must have transpired
simply so that the sun may rise
in the east
and set
in the west
and I am here to watch it.
More so
that you are with me
holding my hand. Not paying
attention to the mechanics
that govern our universe.
For my universe
is easily understood.
It is you.
