Allmanfan's Muse
Sitting alongside the Crossroads of Tomorrow
longing for Yesterday's Child
i can already hear
the delicious rustle of satin and lace
a south wind carries
the sweet scent of her perfume
I have her keepsakes to feed my dreams
her pictures, a book of poetry and music
a keychain to say
SHE'S entrusted me with her heart
It seems like forever since i've touched her
Yesterday's Child always pretends
she hasn't heard my love songs
even though
she knows all the words
at the crossroads tomorrow
she'll name a snowflake for me
Tomorrow at the crossroads
she'll make my world
spin out of control
love
fear
ecstasy
despair
a mandala of emotions alternate so rapidly
when fantasy becomes experience
we can do anything except
stop.
