Sleeping in my Angel's Arms

I know
The greatest comfort the world has ever known,
Enveloped by my true loves arms.
Peace of mind.
Peace at heart.
Peace in soul.
His gentle strength,
Warmth and love
Embrace my entire being.
Only he can fill all the lonely spaces of my heart
So completely.
Blanketed by compassion
I surrender to slumber.
I dream.
Each of my most precious memorable moments
Come back to me
Bringing happiness once again.
My future shows its face
With all its unopened doors
And paths not yet traveled.
All those that I have loved
And all that has brought me joy
Fade in and out.
Yet throughout my unconscious wandering
One thing remains constant.
Him.
With his hand in mine.
As I gently wake to his soft kiss against my skin
I have only one hope,
One wish,
That I may stay here sleeping
Until morning comes
In my angel's arms.
