Little Brown Bear

Though you are gone I still remember
the way things used to be
when you'd take my hand in to your own
and say how much you loved me
before you left
you gave to me
what I treasure in my heart
a little brown bear
stuffed with little purple hearts
you gave this gift
from your heart and soul
and promised me that you would never go
so I keep it near me now!
cause I know that you are waiting
till we meet up once again
and I could show you how much I loved you
and how much I love you still
for ever me and teddy,
will remember every word
until you come out of hiding 
and are one with me again.
until then its just teddy,
who lays beside me every night
keeping your pillow warm, 
when I don't have you in the night.
How I love my teddy, 
but I love you even more 
because you showed me how to love
and open up all doors.
