i need you.
i need you more than anything else right now.
i'm dying and i can't save myself
and i need you to tell me it'll be alright.
see, all my highs and trips
are running out on me
and i ain't got nothin' else
and so i'm counting on you.
i'm hoping you'll pay me back
for the times i let you borrow my heart
when you needed a doormat,
or when you were down and out
and crying out for someone to stroke 
your ego.
i did that for you.
i doctored your wounds
and sent you back out strong and ready
to reenter the field.
so now all i'm asking is for you to
just don't let me die alone.
if i've got to surrender then
i want you beside me.
please don't desert me now.
