Our place

That was the night I knew
That you had changed

When you didn't want to be on the swings
Things just weren't right

You had never gotten off the swings before
It had never bothered you to sit and swing with me

It used to be fun
But now your to mature or something

Does this mean no more parks

Everything the park has ever ment to me was shattered

You didn't like the swings anymore
How dare you outgrow them

Did you outgrow the whole park experience
It was our thing, you couldn't outgrow it without me

Did you outgrow the walks in the river holding my hand so I wouldn't fall
Did you out grow the bench that we sat on and talked
Did you outgrow my tree
Did you outgrow the stones you used to skip on the water
Did you outgrow the stars you would watch from our picnics in thepark at night?
Did you outgrow me?

Maybe you've brought others there after you promised not to.
Did it mean the that much to them too?

I'd love to go back and write You + Me in my tree
like you wrote in the dirt

Just so I don't forget
So I never outgrow
the memories
