Cupid

Dear angels all around me;
I've fallen from above;
When he took me into his arms,
And shared with me his love.

Oh, sweet Heaven on high;
It's all so new;
Please don't ever let him say 'goodbye';
Forbid me this sorrow.

Alas, I've been struck by love's arrow!
Oh, sweet angel with your halo and fairy wings;
Thank you for sending me to him;
For, my angel, he is now my everything.

He's every dream that could come true;
His love is a mere miracle;
So often there are so few;
And for this blessing, my angel, I am thanking you.
 
So farewell my friend in the clouds,
Until we meet again;
