Looking through a faded glass
Of misty moonlit hours past
Underneath the stars and moon
I sit alone and dream of you

Remember our together time
Perfect rhythm, precious rhyme
Of beating hearts and spoken souls
Hopes, dreams, desires to behold

You are my daydream in the night
My daydream in the hours of light
Wishing, waiting, wanting to
Be with you, not dream of you

I held you when you cried
You let me say "goodbye"
You cared enough to let me be
Although the truth I could not see

I miss you oh, so much more
Than anything I have missed before
I long to see you, hold your hand
But my wish must go on in daydream land
