Everything Changes

Everything has changed
Friends have come and gone
The great loves of my life have departed
I have changed the most though
Emotionally...I am stronger.
I am my own person
And I will continue to be as long
As there are people who feel that
Being me is not enough.
Because I have learned that everything changes
And those people who have caused me pain and brought me down
Eventually fade away into the background
But I always remain.
