The First Time

The first time I saw you 
It wasn't love at first sight.
But you continued to grow on me
Until all I could see and think is you.
         
The first time you told me you loved me
I thought I was going to cry.
The moment wasn't perfect
But it seemed perfect to me.
And soon after I realized I had fallen in love with you too.

The first time you said goodbye
I thought my world had ended
The walls came crashing down.
Yet in spite of everythin I still continued to love you.
Through the tears and the pain
I knew it would always be you.
