How Can It Be

How can it be that you don't love me anymore?
Was it so easy just to give up?
Was it too hard to try?
Maybe it is better this way...but who knows
What could have been.
In my heart I know it wouldn't have worked
Although I wish I could make it work somehow.
It amazes me how you were in love with me
And then suddenly it was over.
I just can't comprehend how you could fall out of love so easily;
How you could just forget about me when 
I am having a hard time even now doing the same thing.
Sometimes I wonder if you hate yourself for saying those
Things that tore us apart but you probably don't
Because deep down I think you really meant what you said.
