Modern man hears
what modern woman
says
but he doesn't listen
he reacts
She knows what she needs
or she thinks she does
he knows what she needs
he thinks he understands
but together
they haven't a chance
to reach an amiable
solution
until they listen
to what they hear.

Communication breakdown
surely ensues
then the distance grows
as the history will show
they try
and try again.

Modern man says
i've met all your needs
modern women cries
i need more from you.
Define more
Define need
define us
defy
defy
and modern man
and modern woman
fall apart at the seams
once again.
