Risk
a touch, and the sparks begun flying
scary for we are soaked in gasoline
with all these unquenched longing
flowing through our bodies
the overwhelming desire for contact
is like explosives wrapped around us
and a single kiss could light the fuse
to blow us out of this busy world
and into a realm we can call our own
our private paradise away from guilt
unbounded by reasons and free from inhibitions
a paradise we dare not taste yet
for the time's not right, circumstances wrong,
though this love is as real as you and me
so let's douse ourselves with laughter
and just be content with "i love you"s
but when the moment comes when all is okay
expect us to burn the house down.

For Cosette of course.
