Deevaa,
gee, thanx. Coming from you, those are major compliments. Wished I could have thanked you earlier but I don't usually read the comments page. Thanx again...I love ur poems too you know...no kidding.
Cosette,
Where's that poem you promised me? *smiles*
Check your mail...
To all of you,
I'm just new here(just this month) and some of my early works have lots of typo errors. Sorry if I offended someone with them. I'll type carefully from now on.
You people here are great, more poems...I read them all and I enjoy doing so...*smiles*
Thank You, Heart and Jenna for your lovely comments on "On Bended Knee"
Is it MAY, already?
Angel
Happy May Day
Flowers for everyone!!!!!!!**********************
Hey people, I haven't been to here for a while, I've had a block.....but I'm back. The one I just wrote is kinda wierd, I don't know how and why I wrote it, so tell me your views on it.....PLEASE!!!!
*smiles*
SinneD... as I said in the email.. there is no need to that ME for my compliments on your poetry... thankYOU for sharing!!
and for the unnamed person that named the singer of "I love the way" for me; thankyou... I had doubts that such a "boyband" as Boyzone could come up with such beauiful lyrics.
arrgghhh... I need sleep.
dee
The May issue is up.
I've made an editorial decision, and I want to know how big a tragedy you all will think it is. (Excuse my grammar.) At least until my schedule settles down, I'm going to limit myself to a single review or ramble a month (all lumped under the "Ramble" section.) Other things in my life are making doing a double feature a bit of a hassle.
Anyways, hope you enjoy the new Digest.
"My Heart" By Rennie Lorca
"The Call" By X
"dubious arrangement" By Misti Velvet Rainwater... I really loved these picks for the front cover Kirk, I Love Misti's style... and power.. hell.. she can really hit home!
as for X... thats what I am gonna write like when I actually master the art of poetry!!
Also.. Kev and Angel Well done!
and Kirk, I think you should have added the one about the ear-rings (or err-rinks if you are talking to TK...) of yours too... I can't remember the name, but I still have that image in my head....
*smiles*
Winter is setting in here... I need to find me someone to snuggle under the duvet with... (LOL *I* wish!)
dee
Kirk-
I thought your description of "The Call" was quite striking: "A complex braid of words". Thank you. Thanks also to deevaa for her very kind compliment.
Regards-
X
Congrats to the May Digest Cover Poets. I've had a busy latter half of April and havent commented on many of the works, but i had read each of those as they were posted throughout the month and liked them all. I had also meant to comment on "bended Knee" myself before, that is truly an example of a great poem as are all this month's selections.
Isolde and Dee-
Thank you! For everything! *smiles*
-Crystevin
Kudos for all the works on this month's Digest. I enjoyed all the works...these really grabbed me....MVR ,"dubious arrangement",Rennie lorca's, "My Heart", X's,"The Call", and Alison's , "miss communication"...And MY good Buddy , Kevin's Poem, though I do not know crap about craps....lol
DEE and Crystevin! Thank you both kindly for your remarks in regards to ,"On Bended Knee".
:-) Thanks Heart!
Misti~ I am getting a return on your email, please write me at no1halo@yahoo.com, I have something to send to you.
Angel
Cossette~ "Elated", was simply wonderful. Beautiful imagery and upbeat tone.......LOVED IT :-)
Sympathi~ "I", I would have walked away too! BUT, To a store!!!! To BUY a NEW mirror!!! LOL... The mood in this one was somber, but I was really captured with the ending...nice work.
Angel
I'm only just now reading the April and May issues of the Blender (running a little late). As always, everyone's work was wonderful. One comment, however, to the young man who took exception to the poems selected for the front page. Ahem, how shall I put this... well... *&%%((*#)(*&$)#(*!!!
Anyway, who cares where the poems are posted, I personally read everything, even the comment page (sometimes I find some wonderful things written there as well). Pish posh on you John.
Happy Spring All
Wow! Two months in a row, I really do think I am getting ahead of myself here. *wink*
Congrats to all thoes who made the front page!
-Jenna-
Crystevin-

Kevin-
"Oasis" ~ 'Life-giving love' I guess I just like the ring it has to it. :o)
-Jenna-
The dumbest thing I've ever had the privlidge of incontering in my whole entire life.
The dumbest thing I've ever had the privlidge of incontering in my whole entire life.
Good morning all!! it is damn cold here again this morning... but the new submissions board soon warmed me up...
Crys - Clear Skies.. that is beautiful my friend... wow and I hope you are right... (((hugs)))
H - I LOVE your perspective... I would really like to add a couple of your poems to my page, would you email me if you are interested?
Corsette - Imagining Dennis and Elated are both very pretty.. (and special I bet!) I loved the imagery in them both.
Kev - ditto what Jenna said about "life giving love"
and robin&traci - ahhh?? Hello?? can you expand on your comment some and actually make it make sense?
*running out for coffee*
dee
Jenna and Dee-
Thank you both for the nice praise.
Dee, i hope so too. *S*
Kevin-I Loved "Perceive THIS" i wish i could count how many times i've really felt that. A solidly based take on perception and/or misperception.
-Crystevin
Kirk,
I've been submitting my poetry since probably November of 1997. Can you please tell me what you look for in order for a poem to make the front page?
Thanks!
Dee-
"simple" no, it's not that simple and it's always give AND take..*smiles*
Shady-"..Marble Snake" Very cool, i like this poem alot!
-Crystevin
Kevin~ I really liked "perceive THIS", I know I already told YOU, but thought I would tell the world too :-)
Shadygirl~ "Marble Snake", had fantastic imagery...You sure can paint a VISION with words! And it is real nice seeing you submitting again.

*Shakes her head* Crys Crys Crys... you are too funny my friend... and btw I think you are "it" in email tag.
"Treadmill trance" was GREAT!! OMG the imagery.
H - there you go hitting that nail on the head again! "alternative" was on point!
Shady - got the e girl... and responded ASAP ... so like Crys in my crazy game of email tag.. you are "it"
Frontman - "Hello again" OUCH!
hmm.. thats it from me today... I think... *giggles* hell who can ever be sure!
dee
Hi everyone...
Wow, I just got to read all of the recent submissions...wow! The face of the Blender sure has changed since I was last here! So much amazing work!!!
SinneD - I love "She Loves me Like the Rain", and "Just the Rain"…and what's more, I love how it goes from simple sweetness in one poem, to a similar topic with obvious need as the backbone. And the whole rain thing, strikes a chord…very soft.
Cosette - "Elated" I love it!! What a great piece! "dawn-tinted wallpaper"…"grinning fur slippers" …perfect little touches, it makes the whole poem delightful…. joyful…so cute!!!
Erin - "WHO cares?" I have told you once and again…I love the emotion in your work…the anger…it's basic, raw and to the point…:-)
Crystevin - "Clearer Skies" great poem! :-)
The Lady Sage - "Espirit" somehow very sensual…very nice.
H - "Compartment" - I love the last line…:-)
Dee - "so much…" - great great great!!! "unlit world explored by a newborn flame" great line!! I wonder who this is about?!? *looks around and whistles * ;-)
Erica - "Thins I Can't Say" - Whew! Girl, you go!!! "I hate you for being there when I needed you.
For meeting every one of my expectations and desires." Oh boy, do I hear that, loud and clear! I love the emotion! "How dare you come into my heart from behind my back." Ouch!
Frontman_ph - "I Don't Want to be a Poet" - that's a shame, you're work is very vulnerable…:-)
I am so happy to be back, I really missed this place...:-)
I love these poems! I finally found one that fits me and my husband! thanks!

Sunnie_03@hotmail.com
*winking at shady*
hehe... two things...
a. you are wrong it wasn't him.
and
b. I thought you said "nothing new in your love life"???
SOMEONES poetry is suggesting otherwise... *looks about and whistles*
oh and a third thing... I missed ya.. glad you ARE back.
*runs out giggling*
dee
Sympathi, that is a great poem!!!! Sad, but Great!!!!!
uuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmm!!!! Kevin said a bad word!!!!!
To-
you know who you are and i won't embarass you here.
Plagarism is not only an offense to the original author, but a display of either, your own lack of ability, talent, or just plain stupidity. Paraphrasing a poem is still plagarism, at a MINIMUM, give the author the credit for the inspiration even if you were attempting to interpret it in you own way, but don't for a minute try to take the credit yourself.
-Crystevin
(shifting in his seat in the back of the room... clearing throat and standing up - finally)
Hello all...
Just kind of hiding out in the back of the room...
Have a few things to say...
First of all, I have family in Oklahoma City (south OKC bordering on Moore), and the big tornado on Monday just missed them by less than a mile (thank GOD... my condolences are extended to those families who have lost their loved ones). Kind of puts all this in perspective...
Second,
¡Felíz de Cinco de Mayo!
I'll comment more later, as time permits...
-k
this is the nice way to represent the poem but there should be some poems to prays your lovers
Sinne D.~ "Flowers of May", CHARMING :-)
Angel
sinneD... Flowers of May... that is so truely sweet.. *smiling jealously in the direction of the lucky lady*
I liked it so much that I have sent the link to several of my friends.. May I paint something to go with it? and if I do, may I add it to my site? please??
dee
*deeva*
While I was submitting a new poem, I glanced at all the other new submissions. "So Much" was beautiful... I really loved it. I liked the way it slides through the page and the imagery. Just wanted you to know.
The Lady Sage
hi, everyone! wanted to say thanks to your few kind words - Shady, Angel and Dee... this poem is somewhat different, for i know i sounded amateurish and pathetic in my previous poems. my literary experience is so limited that even high school was spent more on math and science, whew! im a compsci major, wish ive taken english, not that im regretful (coz i enjoy my job!) but i know english would make me as fulfilled too. being so much technical now makes my right hemisphere somewhat stained and unwrinkled!
and hey! this site seems to be a poem-factory! and im sad that i have to limit myself to a few works... when i do have time i will comment on the others too, i promise
MVR, i cannot enumerate all your works that i love for i may not be able to finish this even for hours! and besides i dont know if i'd do justice to your works by describing them... wow! i hope you get my message...
angel, hey, congrats to your piece "on bended knee"...im so into that! with knees shaking...
"oasis"
"crap check" by kevin
kirk did describe your works well... im speechless coz they sounded so smart and experienced...
"she loves me..."
"it just rains"
"incomplete things"
"flowers of may" by sinneD
what more can be said? i love the way you mix your words together to describe your emotions.
"So much" "Simple" by dee
'So much simply' put and has elegantly succeeded in conveying their message. although im not a painter, i can relate to them, Dee... and hey! he didnt explicitly dedicate his "flowers" to me... why are u smiling at my direction??? =) and yes, "Imagining.." is so personal, im afraid no one can relate to it, except him.
"Hello again", "I dont want to be a poet" by frontman_ph
i envy these so much i wish ive written these myself.... i know i didnt sound lonely enough.... and kudos for making it to the front page. "Smoke" is so great, even natalie imbruglia would be envious.
"...Marble Snake" by shady
oh ... so clever... so courageous...
"hellen keller's luck"
i just knew hellen keller is a great literary authority, but i havent seen her works. i admire your poem already, though i still have to at least know keller before i can proceed....
"clearer skies" by Crystevin
so vividly intense... i can almost hear it recited...so great!
"cotton and eggs"
"bookstore" by madison
i love your style! why are you not submitting anymore??
hats off for making it to the front page...
i got a few more others but i have to go... ill be back for more comments...
its already 8:30 and back to work... wah!!!
Cosette =)
*laughing* Cosette!! I didn't name any names.... hehe...BUT
Thankyou for your kind comments on my poetry...
I hope if sinneD lets me put an image with his words .. and that I do it (hehe and maybe you *wink*) justice... as I have said many times before... my talent does not lie in my pen, but in my brush.
Kev.. (((hugs)))
Cyrs .. Time was great...
Shady... so glad you are back... and loving all your new stuff... and hehe... watch out NY come Sept hey????
dee
Kev-
Good to hear your family is safe. We all should be thankful for and put into perspective how much we really do have.
Those who commented on my recent works. Thank you. I've seen many great works out there by all of you and i've been meaning to comment...will hopefully find time soon. One in particular.."Keller's Luck"..Awesome. Great poem!
-Crystevin
Hey everyone, Happy Thursday!
Dee - SePtEmBeR!!!! WoOhOo!!! I can't wait to see you girl! :-)
Crystevin - Thank you for Keller comment...:-)
Cosette - FYI, Helen Keller is a woman who was famous for overcoming her natural-born disabilities of being both blind and deaf. I hope that clarifies my poem...:-) I know what you mean about wishing you had spent more time on English, I failed almost every English class in high school (other factors involved) and I was a fine arts major. I never even really got into writing until my first 2nd year of college, about 4 years ago, and then the Blender came into my life...LOL...and its history since then...and I don't remember what it was like pre-poetry...:-) Happy to see you using both sides of your brain ;-) Your work is lovely!
I have not had a chance to look at yesterday submissions... (I'm already getting behind...geesh!) bu I will!
Have a good day everyone, almost friday!
Love yas,
Shady Lady
LOL...
Did I say my 1st second year??? LOL...that make no sense...
*tapping brain, hearing it hiss a bit*
I only had ONE second year of college, that was when I started writing...hehe....
Cosette, thank you so much for the feedback. "Bookstore"'s already been rewritten lol - new first stanza. I didn't even realize it was there until I read you comment ! ~
You had asked why I hadn't submitted any since those last two - I've a new one written this past weekend I'd like to submit... but I'm not sure it fits the mood of the blender? It's a still life of a child's emotional undoing when love ends between his parents: abandonment issues. Again, thanks for the comments :-)
Shady---
when you went to college on the LIFETIME plan as I did, you can have SEVERAL second years!!! I think mine were 1979-80, (part of) 1986, 1988-9, and 1991-2!!! And I loved them all - guess my 'sophos' stayed 'MOROS' for too long, which would explain why I am so goofy!!!
-k
uh-hyuck!
GAWRSH!!!
-k
Ria - I have never felt the urge to join in on the Blender Board but I wanted to compliment you on your writing. It was not the subject matter but your clear, vivid writing that got me. I look forward to hearing more.
LOL Kev...u r so silly!
THIS POEM IS DEDICATED TO JUSTIN LEE FLEISCHHACKER THE LOVE OF MY LIFE.
THE DAY WE MEET
I'LL NEVER FORGET
SITTING AT THE BEACH
ME SAYING, "YOU LIVE BY ME"
YOU SAYING, " WHO REALLY CARES?"
BUT THOSE SEVEN WORDS
BROUGHT US CLOSER TOGETHER
WE BECAME THE BEST OF FRIENDS WITHIN TIME
THOSES SEVEN WORDS BROUGHT US TO WHERE WE ARE TODAY
THE DAY THAT I WANT TO TELL YOU
HOW MUCH I REALLY DO LOVE YOU
AND HOW MUCH OUR LOVE MEANS TO ME
AS I SIT HERE AND WRITE THIS TO YOU I THINK OF
HOW I CAN WORD ALL THE FEELINGS I HAVE FOR YOU
AND NOW I KNOW I REALLY CAN'T
ALL I CAN DO IS TELL YOU THAT
IF YOU WERE TO EVER ASK ME THAT ONE SPECIAL QUESTION
ALL I COULD DO IS SAY I DO
AND I LOVE YOU
BUT THAT QUESTION IS A WAYS AWAY
SO FOR NOW OUR LOVE WILL CONTINUE IN THIS WAY
WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY
IS THAT TODAY IS A SPECIAL DAY
BECAUSE IT'S FOR YOU AND ME
I LOVE YOU JUSTIN LEE FLEISCHHACKER
AND DON'T YOU EVER FORGET THAT.
BY: BRIANNA MARIE SCHMIDT
*giggles* damn it is cold here... I got stuck in the bus stop yesterday being blasted by sheets of hail and rain... all carried in by a southerly... and when you live in NZ where the southerly comes from?? Ant-bloody-arctica.... brrrrrr.....
Crys - oh god you rock... you are on such a roll right now...
Shady - "the rumble in your voice" *deevaa melts* ohhhh... I know that feeling!!!
Kev - oh and Shady IS right... you are silly...
*worried deevaa* Anyone heard from Isolde lately?? I am missing her dreadfully and all my e-mails are going unanswered...
btw.... Lady Sage, thankyou for you kind comment...
I almost missed it today.
*smiles*
Hey Blender Crew!!!
Whew, I tell you, I had a great day, for no particular reason, and now, after reading through all of these tingly poems I am going to make it a Blockbuster night, relax, and just melt to some sappy romance...:-))) aaaaaaahh....
Anyways, as I was saying, tingly poems!!!
Jaya - "Looking Back" very nice…longing…I like it a lot! :-)
Ria - "Spring Fever" - Wow! I really like this! I like the style you wrote in…is this Amherst, NY? I'm from Long Island, but I travel to Amherst on business to UB fairly regularly…just curious…:-) "Something about The Boy" - again, I like the style…and I love "Lurking in the back of my mind , like a forgotten dream"…great line…and ending it with (apology not accepted)…:-) Mah-velous dah-ling!!!
Elyse - "YOU" - LOL…I know that feeling!
SinneD - "Flowers of May" - I LOVE IT!!! I love the whole rhythm of this one, the light-hearted-ness…it makes me want to frolick in the grass!! LOL…I absolutely love it, she's a lucky lady!
Crystevin - "Look at Love" - *very serious * wow…that could be the poem that proves love's insanity…and the last three stanzas, whew, simple, few words, but very to-the-point…
Dee - Thanks for your comment on "Rumble"...:-))) I actually liked that one too...more so because of the 'memory-factor' in that one...;-)
Good night everyone!
Kevin-
I can really identify with "Heart Crust" and especially the "rejoining the cycle of life" line. There comes a time when our hearts have no choice but to rejoin that cycle or wither away in agonizing sadness. You are right, it's not about a "hardened" heart, but perhaps a newly molded one.
-Crystevin
Happy Friday everyone!!! Woohooo! (Well, probably Happy Saturday to you Dee...:-)
Heart - "Blindsided" - heart! Another amazing submission! "…wondering if it's the ground shifting or my heart"…lovely!
Kevin - "Lottery" What a unique idea, I really like this one! "straight line" - I really love this one too, I hope she does too…it would surely have made me melt. :-)
Crystevin - "In No Particular Order" - another great piece!
Has anyone heard from ZoE? Keeping in touch with her? How is she doing?
Well, time to get back to work...;-)
Have a great day everyone! And weekend!
Woo-hoo!! Happy Friday, everybody! S'been a helluva coupla weeks. As always, love all the submissions, and kudo's to the May front-pagers.
Have to say....
Kate- Aquamarine - fantastic!
Shady - Rumble of your Voice - Love it to no end, as does everyone else!
Sweet Kevin - Been buying fistfuls of those 'Lottery' tickets, and, well, you know.....no return yet....*sigh*
ok, back on the run again....take care, all.
Jenn
Crystevin- "In No Particular Order" Awww~ that was the cutiest!
Pleasantly Anonymous- "Love's Power" and the submission of "Unknown- Kisses?" by Amamnda Dietzenbach, I liked especially much, if that makes any sense. :o) *shruggs her shoulders*
Tyler Bice- Personally, I thought that was one heck of a compliment.
Khalid- "ASPIRATIONS" Erotic and sweet~ what a combination.
Well I guess that's all for me!
-Jenna-
Woo hoo! Thank God it's Friday.
Shady, thanks for the comment on the poem, glad you liked it! Sometimes it's hard to tell eh! I write Zoe and I have since she's been gone, her and Marla too, my letters go unaswered but I haven't given up hope, as they have never came back undelivered. :-(
You need to go visit Poetic Friends, we are having a ball there!!! Check it out!
Happy Friday everyone!!!
heart
What is it with plagarism lately? The poem entitled "I hate it" is quoted almost directly from the movie "Ten things I hate about you."
Hey everyone!
Kev - I got your letter! :-)
Dee - You ARE silly...hehe...:-) *giggling like mad, knowing I just got in the last word*...hehe...
LIL - "Living on the seat edge of Swing" - Beautiful…simply beautiful…I love the metaphor…
L.Penny - "Cucumber Sandwiched" - very nice and open and raw…honest and true…"You are to me a handful of dust"…great line! :-) "It occurs to me to write you a poem…" - another really nice one…
Hi to everyone and I hope y'all are having a good weekend!
*does the deevaa dance*
Shady... you think thats the last word hmmmmm??? I think not! hehe... LOL... and don't forget to give my email to my "date" *runs around the room giggling*
arrghhh... it is Monday here and I have a happy on! (what is wrong with this picture??)
sinneD... "My longest poem" That is sweet... *sigh*
Crys .. "In no particular order" struck me... *falls over* I
think I have a head wound...
dee
LOL...Dee - your 'date' was asking about you last night...hehe...I'll give him your address tonight...k? I got your email by the way, so I will get right on that Dorito search...hehe...;-)
Kev - I sent out your letter this morning...:-)
Well, everyone, it's monday again, a-boo-hoo-hoo...but it is a beautiful day out, atleast here in NY, so I hope everyone's weekends and Mommy's Days were good, and I hope everyone mondays pass by smoothly too! :-)

"blindsided" - oh i wish my love wouldnt feel that way for me... it gives me the creeps!... so good!
"compartment" - so unique perspective
"Cucumber sandwiches" - so frank, so straightforward in missing someone! like it!
"the actor" - although i should be an 'actress' instead, i felt like up in stage and reading the wrong lines and then the director said 'Cut!'
"circle..." - yes, that sometimes you get 'dizzy' and no corner to rest to...
"erased" - reminds me of a friend who have parental disputes and issues... hay... something we can never change, but can avoid... im touched by it!
and dee! hi! busy with ur paintings? =)
i wish i could comment on more...
it breaks my heart to leave this place... gotta work, gotta drive...
*shifting gears... full turn to the left (hemisphere)*

*giggles and dances out stage right*
dee
*bright red, again! But raising a foot to Dee...*
LOL...wanna see MY feet? LOL...I can't believe he told you that! Oh dear, September is definitely going to be interesting...hehehe...:-) Atleast we'll both have the TIGHTEST abs, from all the giggling...hehehe...:-) Thanks for your comments girl...yeah, I was on a bit of a roll today, in work no less (sshhh...don't tell the boss) Where has your work been missy??? I expect one of your nice sexy erotic poems by morning, ya hear??? ;-) I need a little soul-melting here.

Have a good night, all!!!
Dee-
I scare myself too sometimes..LOL
Crystevin
(sheepishly shuffling out of desk and onto feet)
Hello All!
I have been terrible this month about responding to posts on the Board. I apologize to all!
Where to start?
How about with some props...
Crystevin-
What a clever title "Dear, In the Headlights." Being a DEER in the headlights is a very proper metaphor for being completely vulnerable to someone you love.
Also, thank you for all your kind words with regard to my recent work... Your comments have been quite thoughtful, and I assure you they are greatly appreciated. I have not had that much time to write lately, but when I do, my muse is still filling my head with all sorts of interesting things.
Isolde-
Where are you? And where are your wonderful poems???
Shady-
You wrote??? wow!
NOT ONLY THAT, You have been writing POEMS!!! Good stuff... I particularly enjoyed the metaphor of shedding the skin of a relationship as if a snake... (made more sense knowing your personal history too, hon). And "A Fool for Old Poetry" is nicely done as well.
And thank YOU for *your* kind words. As far as what you said about "straight line," I am having trouble melting her heart with my words on paper, but she does read them... Some of them DO touch her...
deevaa-
My my you have been busy as well! Thanks for the hugs.
Angel-
Thank you, my friend for the kind words. Let's visit a craps table sometime, and I'll teach you the game...
Jenna, Cosette-
Thank you for YOUR kind words as well.
That is all for now
(slouching back to his seat)
-k
(standing up, hangs head in SHAME!)
Jenn!
Of all people to not have responded to - forgive me!
I totally SPACED...
Thank you too for comment on "Lottery." Even though I have the great love of my life, I feel like I am still buying those lottery tickets. This seems a contradiction, when I really do not want to leave anything to chance, take NOTHING for granted... But even so...

Hi all!!
I rarely write on here but I wanted to say hi to everyone and keep up the good work.
*raising an eyebrow and looking pointedly at shady*
Let's just say that there is hope on the horizon and I am INSPIRED beyond belief. I think maybe I've finally found
Mr. Absolutely Right. Expect some happy, sickening poems in the near future. Later!

Dear Kirk,
I want to thank you for putting me on the Digest once again...bless you. I have been ill, so slow to post and read lately. This group is always a pleasure to count myself one of...as all keep up the pace and great work. Thanks again........Rennie

-Crystevin
Shady-
Thanks for commenting on some of my recent works. *smiles*
Yes i majored in English for my undergraduate degree but do not teach. As for your vocabulary? Obviously you have enough of a grasp on words to write some wonderful poetry yourself. However, never be ashamed to open a dictionary or learn a new word.

These past few days have been the best of my life. I don't have a job, I have very little money, and I have no idea where I'll be living two weeks from now, but I am in love, and that's everything.
Ever since I was a little girl I've had this ache in my heart, this hunger for unconditional love. Love that feels good and doesn't make me cry or feel like crap. I've fallen in love before and I believe that there was a reason for each relationship, even though they all ended badly. But for the first time in my life, I have fallen in love and been caught. That's an incredible feeling, folks.
Who knows where this will lead and what this will become. But I am so happy and so grateful for what I have with him now.
Love is alive and well on planet Earth. Believe it!
Love,
Misti
Hey everybody! Monday down...whew!

Crystevin - "No Appeal" - I always love your last lines!!! As I do with this one...
Heart - "I Blush" - whew...you go girl! *fanning herself *
Alexander - "A Lovers Ballet" - incredible...incredible rhythm...I loved it!

Who is the poet that goes by the name of "X" ?
um, HELLO!
*X* goes by the name "X"!!!
But I hear that X's nickname is "24"
-H
BUT, I X does have a first name...
It is Poetic
-H
By the way, that was a typo, *I* am NOT "X"
-H
*giggling and winking at H*
I thought X's nickname was seXy?
Shady!!!
"Cool Draft" & "coaxing magnets" Shady... WOW!! girl... you are ON POINT!!!
dee
Nice site! I've seen lots of poetry sites on the net, but none so spontanious as this one. In the vast archive of my bookmarks, this one just got a "when all else fails, go here" listing! I left something behind - it's kind of old, but I've always liked it.
Thank you Dee! :-)
Crystevin - Is Giggling and Wiggling about Dee? Hehe...the entire time I read it, I had Dee in mind...:-) So cute!!
Shady-

Dee - "dial tone" - been there girl, or should I say girlY.. hehe...I forgot to tell you, you were in my dream last night...I had a dream that Beck and I were watching you on TV, and I kept saying "Isn't she cute? Isn't she cute?" hehe...(get the feeling I want you and Beck to hit it off in September?? ;-) You were on TV, talking to a reporter in front of a museum or library or something, and every time you finished a sentence you'd look right at the camera with a huge grin...hehe...I just remembered when I saw what Kev and Crys wrote back to me...:-)
Kev - and what are you talking about, jealous of the amount of poetry I've been submitting lately? Hun, you exceed me in quantity and quality...all I do is ramble to pass the time hehe...:-) and you know my morning babbles better than anyone, thanks to ICQ...hehe...
Well...I'm outtie!

I want it on offical record that Crys just made my day!
*so full of giggles she could burst*
dee
Wow, I'm about 5 or 6 days away from reaching the Half-A-Million mark for front page hits. That's a lot! I try not to be a "hit-whore", but raw numbers are pretty nice.
Marcella-
i don't know where you found the poem "Do I Love You"...but the last lines are taken from a poem called "Dove In The Dark" by Nikki Preston....it's on joshua's poetry page at: http://members.tripod.com/~king_dude/
just thought i'd set the record straight....
Lizzy
LOL...no Dee, you should not be worried that you were in my dream...I LITERALLY have a long crazy dream just about every night...my mind overworks itself..hehe..and you were bound to be in one eventually...I am infamous for my dreams...people actually ask me what my dream was about, every morning...half the time I get great ideas for my short stories from them...
So don't feel strange...feel honored! (LOL...just kidding :-)
Well, everyone, it is now 730pm, and I have to wake up at 230am to get ready to get a plane to go to work tomorrow, and that is freaking me out! I have to actually try to be smart tomorrow in front of a room full of people on only a few hours sleep...ugh, I am people-phobic, and now I have to give a presentation? I will talk to you all Friday, if I SURVIVE!!! (Not to be dramatic or anything)
Hang on, it's almost Friday!
Have a Great Day!
Too many great Poems to name!!!
Was someone looking for me?? The poet known as X is, in fact, the poet known as X...*smile*
If the anonymous poster really wants to get in touch with me, they can post their name & e-mail address, and I will contact them.
-X

Hi all...
I've been mostly absent from the Blender for awhile, and experiencing some difficulties in my life. I am just starting to catch up with the poetry and comments this month, and I wanted to thank all those who have been supportive recently...
Angel-
Thanks for your kind compliments about my poems.
Kate-
Thanks for your words of support.
Shady-
Welcome back! Thanks for wondering where I was, for your compliments, and for thinking enough of my work in general to miss it. And thanks also for the dedication line reference in "coaxing magnets".
Buck-
Thanks for the dedication of the eloquent poem "Silhouette". Yes, I'll take it, and am honored that I would somehow move you enough for you to want to so acknowledge me.
deevaa-
Thanks for being the giggling, wiggling ray of sunshine in my day, for caring enough to notice my absence and worry about it, for the hugs, the E's and the chocolate kisses! Thanks also for your compliments on several of my poems, especially "You Hold My Heart"...yes, the book is still being written in. And especially, thanks for thinking I haven't "lost it", when if feels to me as if I have.
Kevin-
Thanks for your ongoing friendship and support, for your care and concern, for your patience, for helping me search for my muse, and for being the very special person that you are. I am truly blessed to have a friend such as you. And many thanks for the heartfelt poem you wrote and dedicated to me "words that bleed". I am truly moved.
Crystevin-
Thanks for your support, both of my heart and of my poetry, and for being there for me in so many ways. Thanks for the hugs (I needed them!). Thanks for understanding "Whack"...LOL. Thanks for thinking Tristan is a lucky guy, that is quite a compliment. And finally, thanks for the beautiful and inspiring poem "Between the Weeps", and for the unique understanding and empathy behind it.
To all of you: Your kind words, friendship and support have touched me at a time when I needed it most. I am fortunate to have such people as you in my life.
-Isolde
ohh Isolde.... (((hugs)))
Keri-
oh lord! that poem (is it alright) is exactly what just happened to me!!! the depression, the break-up, everything!!!!! i just want to thank you for putting in such beautiful words....
very thankful,
Lizzy
We love in others soul whatever of ourselves we can deposit in it, the greater the deposit the greater the love.
Love is most nearly itself when here and now cease to matter.
Love is an act of endless forgivness,a tender look which becomes habit.
He Loves Me! He Loves Me! Brian just sent me an e-mail signed with LOVE. I'm floatin', mon.
He loves me. He loves my poetry. He loves my eyebrows and my smile and my mind and my spirit. HE LOVES ME!!!!!
I am smiling all the time now. This is life at its best. I'm on top of the ferris wheel, and all the colored lights are twinkling like crazy below...
Kev-
^5's back at ya!
Isolde-
*big smile* what a sweetie you are!
Dee-
you ARE indeed a giggling wiggling ray of sunshine!
-Crystevin

Well everyone, I intend to sleep the weekend away, I'm pooped! Talk to you all on Monday...:-) Have a great one!!!
Misty - Summary of Love is just wonderful! Your timing is spectacular as I share those feelings with you today.
Brent, "Part of me" is so beautiful. I often dream of a man feeling this way about me...
Thankyou Leanne!! I was in a really good mood when I wrote that, and I felt like the whole world should know how I felt that night. I've never had anyone call my works beautiful, thankyou so much, it really meant something.....BTW: I'm not like most guys, I look farther than looks, and popularity. I go for the heart, the soul, and the real meaning of that someone....so there's my explianation!!! =)
Buknuy, congratulations. I liked "Bus"
and I also Liked yours sinneD, "Another Story"
it's good to meet you.
After your heart has gone through so much there is a golden light at the end of the journey:
MY LOVE
So many words of love
Have been uttered from my soul
Moments of passion
Now, burnt like charcol.
You always were there
Watching me fall on my face
But no matter what constantly
Picking me up so I had some grace.
It was your eyes that saw
My every ounce of pain
After heart ache and heart ache
I was sure my true love had no name
For love was a myth
A lie, a fake
Some crazy fairy tale
Like the monster in the lake
But there you were my love
Looking at me yet again
It was at that moment I knew
That I had so much more then just a friend
How could I have been so blind
Why couldn't I just see
That there all along you stood before me
My true love, my destiny.
Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend! The submissions are amazing everybody!

I Wanted To
I wanted to
while sitting there
staring into your eyes
I wanted to

if consequences would arise
I should have then

our love is a love that lasts

Woo hoo, half a mil.
I'm happy with the Blender's moderate growth, it lets it stay personal, without becoming stagnant. I suppose there are things I could do to try to ramp up the hitcount, but I think things are good as they are now.
Awwwwww Thank You, Coseette...what a lovely tribute to us all... :-)
WOW!!! CONGRATULATIONS KIRK!!! WAY TO GO!
Angel

Anonymous, we forgot to mention... we love the way you named the html page "cosine"... sounds mathematically cute. =)
Crys and Angel, THANKS for sharing your poems... i don't think the "tribute" said it all... no words could ever describe my gratitude. =)
Dee, why are you not here? what happened? me worried so much.
and
JMS, thanks for sharing the tears with me last night thru "Forbidden Love"... i saved it on my hard drive and read it several times 'til my eyes ached, and the letters got blurred... until i can no longer read... thanks for being there.
Cosette =)

I apologize for being so remiss in my commentary this month (Tuesday is already freaking JUNE????)
Kirk-
Congratulations again on reaching 500,000 hits. The Blender has never become stagnant, and I have made some very special friends at this haven on the web. Here's to hundreds of thousands more while keeping the intimate feel of this place.
Thanks again for all you do for us.
Cosette-
Merci!
The tribute of your poem to those of us who submit here is humbling to this simple writer who sees most of his own offerings as meager indeed.
(going back quite a ways to catch up with the kindness of others)
Shady-
Hope you are having a great time this coming week! Thanks for you compliment on "shade"
As far as "words that bleed", that saying itself is lifted from a high school English teacher I had (a wonderful little man)... But like ORCHESTRA music?? Not sure about THAT one... *smiles*
With regard to "color again", THANKS for the moniker (about me and 'sweet sentiment'), but you WILL slap me around if I get TOO sappy, won't you???
"kerchief" really wasn't about anyone IN my heart or my life, just a poem...
"resolute" and "broken glass" were... Thanks for your compliments on those as well.
"Long week" WAS as well, so thanks for the use of YOUR ingredients! I know we both love to bake.......
Dee-
Glad you are testing out that wiggle. Hope to see the full cyber wiggle soon (though I AM VERY envious of those who will get to witness the REAL THING!!!!)...
Thank you for the comment with regard to "on the edge"... YES, it is a thrill, but a VERY wicked game to play with your own heart.
with regard to "I am yours" and "kerchief", I am humbled that my words could have moved you so.
Thanks for the hugs! The week of "Long week" WAS emotionally taxing...
kate-
Thanks for your compliment on "sight"
With regard to "resolute" and "broken glass", particularly the latter, my frame of reference is that once you truly LOVE someone, you never really WANT to hurt them, and you always love them, even if you are no longer IN love WITH them...
Jenna-
Thank you for your compliments on "I am yours" and "kerchief"... Keep up your own writing too!
LAST, but never EVER least in my heart, or in this world - Isolde-
You are welcome for what has become one of the greatest pleasures in all of my life, that being the sharing of such a wonderful friendship. I have never enjoyed a friendship quite like ours, and had not known one like this was even possible just a few months ago.
You are a blessing to me...

I just wanted to say I am glad that I have a place where people can read my poetry. Even if they dont like them or appreciate them, its a good feeling to know my poems are out there.
And I wanted to say that all of you who submit poems are very talented and please continue writing because I enjoy reading all of the submissions.
Angel, Dee-
Thank you both for the kind words on "another resolution." That particular poem was one of those (very) rare ones that I composed directly on the keyboard rather than with a pen on paper (you remember, actual WRITING)...
<scurries off to do some actual WRITING that he has been promising for a LONG time>

wading through the unexpected multitude of new submissions-
Rennie Lorca - "EACH IMPORTANT GRAIN" I love the metaphor - it works well.
Kevin - how can you so eloquently and concisely put into words the jumbled mess of my thoughts?
Heartsong - hi back at'cha.
happy sunday to all!
kate
Oh my... Rory... LOL... I forgot to actually comment on that line I loved!!! (deevaa = ditz... most people know this well by now)
Shall I try again? "I found your name/written on my heart/in a bout of /spiritual spring cleaning." *grin* I just loved this line... it reminded me of a piece that someone (can't remember who! *frown*) wrote awhiles back about spring-cleaning your soul.... I like the mental imagery of dusting off your heart and finding a name etched there... hmmm... now I am feeling a painting coming on... (gosh... I didn't before... maybe it is a good thing I am a ditz!)
umm... so Rory.. thanks for sharing.
dee
Rory!! I remembered what poem it was... I have posted it... I hope you enjoy it!
dee

Crystevin: I love the metaphor in Psych 101. I don't often like poems with a definite rhthym, but I thought in this particular poem that the rhthym was an effective addition to the mood.
Deevaa: the umbras angel painting is cool
good work everyone
kate-
Your question just blew me away...
I suppose I would say that there are two answers really -
experience...
and twenty some odd years of sharpening that pen...
It doesn't always come easy, for MY heart and mind are quite often a jumbled mess...
-k
heart, Angel, Kev, and Deevaa thanks for all of your kind words and encouragement. I love all the poems you have submitted and have all of you comment makes me feel like I have done something worth while.
