So Confused

I told her the truth,
I gave her my heart.
I told her I loved her,
Praying to never grow apart.
She told me she loved me,
To the point of no return.
But she took another with her,
And still for her I yearn.
She said she was scared,
And she didn't want hurt.
I promised her everything,
I layed my life on her line.
And instead she said,
"I love you, but you can't be mine...."
For now at least, but she said to me,
I'll love you forever, and we're meant to be.
On those words I hang, so sweet, so true.
All I can do is wait, and wait is what I'll do.
