A Goodbye Kiss

When I first saw you
with that look in your eyes
the world just stopped
it was then I realized

The warmth of your touch 
the taste of your kiss
just some of these things
will be hard not to miss

Our times of laughter
the times of pain
as we shared those moments
it wasn't a game

As I leave you tonight
I'll try not to cry
to show some strength
as we say goodbye

So take these memories
but don't "dwell" in the past
I'll meet you my friend
when I can see you at last.
