No Appeal

Hangman's noose
tightens and chokes me
from the gallows of my heart.
The crime was love
and the trial swift
with guilty as charged,
and no plea
to be bargained
for such a 
truthful verdict.

Punishment is severe
and i will not appeal
let my last breath
of this life
make me a
repeat offender.
