From Afar
Find solace in solitude but appreciate time spent together. I usually
can understand doubts and insecurities. We all face our own fears.
However, my truth is in words and deeds combined. I comfort with
my heart and explain the how's and why's of my actions or try to
understand her perceptions. It is my love that has kept me here thus
far and will remain a forever constant. She doubts because of distance
and circumstances beyond her control and knowledge, but deep down, she
wants to believe. Her heart cries with the lonliness that only my voice
and warm embrace can quell. We talk often, but not often enough. We
communicate on a daily basis, but are sometimes restricted by our topics.
We have separate lives, but want to share everything, we don't keep
secrets, but refrain from offering up all the facts. I continue to
look at her pictures and my heart melts with need until i hear from her
again. And when we have that special time, we share it all,
unconditionally, and with unmatched zest and with each other's full
attention. We are like an old war story, the hero gone to fight,
praying and hoping that the return is safe, soon, and forever.
This is love surviving from afar.
