Words have always
been concrete to me -
bedrock on which to build
who I am
who I have become.

Soulmates

I thought I knew what
that word meant
I was sure of it
I was certain of a great many 
things in this life
until you came into my world.
Although words still form
the foundation on which I build
you have demonstrated
that all bedrock was
once shifting sand.
