BLOW

There is no compromise in you smooth cowboy.
Your slow, lazy drawl,
Warm as a western wind
Lull this cold, New England pulse
Like a spring thaw.
Only to freeze up...
Barren as a cold northeast wind.
A clawing, hard blow...
Batten down the hatches my storm weary heart!
Be alert as the lighthouse beacon at Butler's Flat.
There is no compromise in you smooth cowboy.
You ride across a different home on the range.
Do I dare?
