Crush

What would you say if I told you I had a crush?
That being in your presence just gives my mind and body a rush?
Would you turn away and run from me?
Or would you turn toward me and set me free?
You obviously have no idea of your affect,
I hope after hearing this me you won't neglect,
Do these words I'm saying put within you a fear?
Or do they show you that to my heart you are dear?
Should I tell you who I am face to face?
If I did would you lead me on a pointless chase?
Or would you see me through different eyes?
I want a lasting relationship,
Not to be a pool in which you take a quick dip,
I want truthfulness and to be more than a stupid fling,
Not honeyed words that don't mean a thing,
I want caresses from your fingers,
And a soft kiss that always lingers,
I want quiet moments just sitting side by side,
And whispers meant to tantilize,
Eyes that seem to say "it's you I want,"
Days that your memories haunt,
Nights that are beautiful and filled with love,
Passion that soars higher than the sky above,
I don't want just physical attraction,
A guy who's always looking for just a piece of action,
I want a man who wants my heart,
Who wants to hold me more than anything even though we're apart,
I want a love so true that angels sing,
I want this crush to be more than just a trivial thing.
