The Dragon
I have teased the dragon and, found to be
Not it’s equal, I suffered a cruel bite.
And you have paid the price so that you might
Pull me from his mouth then to set me free.
So a dragon can be vanquished by two
Who work together. I will willing pay
The same judgment if we can one day say
We have killed the dragon that torments you.
Until that day comes, I hope you discern
I do understand the pain she does cause
When she grasps you in her terrible jaws
And freeing you is my greatest concern.
The dragon that you live with I do see.
Myself I dedicate to set you free.
