layers

My heart is not the
tender one,
but if you look
closely, I have 
taken the layers off 
that my heart of hearts
was buried under
because you were there
at the right place
in my life
at the right time
in my heart
at the right level
where I could receive
what you were sending into me
to draw me out of myself.
