Where do you turn when the world you know seems hopeless
And you’re overwhelmed by the helplessness and lack of control
For once you had the world at your feet
And now you lie at the foot of the world
Even the love which you thought would always be there
Has turned it’s back for a life of it’s own
So you stare in the mirror as the tears stream on down
Wondering what you did to deserve something so bad
Knowing that it can get worse, for although you hurt, reality hasn’t been faced
And the life that you know has forever been changed.
