My Own Garden

Sowing the seeds of my life,
I tread softly on the earth-
As I carefully plant my own garden.

A garden so full of Lovliness and Beauty
Is what I will eagerly await-
As the sun and sky nourish the soil.

The soil was once dry and it had been
Left lonely-unattended for a time.
Yet now, it glistens with dew drops and resting butterflies.

I watch through the window of my soul
For the wonders my garden will someday bear.
As I anticipate the day all my flowers will bloom.

Until that special moment, my heart will learn patience.
Then I will have grown my own garden
And learned to decorate my own soul.
