quilt

Our relationship is
a patchwork quilt
and we both like to sew
we have become good at it
But I have changed
I used to be so wrapped up in
fixing each flaw,
lost in the minutiae of each
thread out of place as I
concentrated on my stitching...
That I managed to create
such beauty while so many 
details got themselves 
wrapped around me
Is truly astonishing
I failed to understand
Your approach
I never saw before how beautiful 
was the entire piece of work
