How Can I Show Him?

When things are going rough,
And "sorry's" aren't enough.
No matter what you say or do,
You can't seem to win, and you can't seem to lose.

When all your strength runs out,
And you feel without a doubt.
As if the world has come to an end,
But you want him to be more than just friends.

You want him to be in your thoughts throughout each new day,
You want him to be around, just to say hey.
A warm hug or even just a smile,
A break from the world, just to talk a while.

You want to show him the world, and how cruel it's been to you,
But you're stuck in one place, 'cause you don't know what to do.
You want to show him all your wounds for him to kiss and help them heal,
But first he must understand that you only let him in because your feelings are real.

You want to prove to him and make him see,
Just how happy two people can truly be.
You want to show him happiness,
Maybe more, but nothing less.

You want to share the stars with him, or even your ice cream,
You want to share your world with him, and tell him of your dreams.
But it hurts when he rejects them, and crushes it all in his hand,
For then you feel as if your dreams were merely grains of sand.

So how do you prove to someone just how much you care?
How do you express to them all the things you want to share?
What if hey don't look at it in he same way too?
And what if he doesn't have all the same feelings about you?
